Rowan Pack provides mediation and alternative dispute resolution services.

 

In some matters (for example personal injury actions) relevant legislation require parties to participate in a mediation.

 

There are many advantages of mediating a matter.  These include:-

 

• Potential cost savings with matters resolved at an early stage prior to a trial/hearing.

 

• Mediation is relatively simple. There are no complex rules regarding its conduct and a dissatisfied party can always walk away at any time and take their chances in court (albeit at greater cost).

 

• There are no pleadings or interlocutory matters to be dealt with in court. The scope of the conflict being mediated can be adjusted and revised as the  mediation progresses and parties attitudes change.
