Rowan Pack
Rowan Pack is a respected and trusted Barrister with more than 20 years of legal experience, specialising in family law and domestic and family violence matters. Based in Townsville, he is known for his calm, fair, and effective advocacy, particularly in complex parenting disputes, property settlements, and cases involving vulnerable parties.
Called to the Bar in 2012 after a decade as a Solicitor in Cairns, Townsville, and London, Rowan appears regularly in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia across a broad range of matters, including relocation, recovery, spousal maintenance, child support, and family violence matters.
In addition to his primary focus on family law, Rowan has substantial experience in commercial litigation, personal injury, and criminal law. This broad foundation enhances his ability to manage family law cases that intersect with other areas of legal complexity.
Rowan has previously gained accreditation as a Nationally Accredited Mediator and offers mediation services to assist parties in reaching practical, respectful resolutions outside court.
Committed to giving back to the community, Rowan contributes his time through long-standing volunteer work with Townsville Community Law, acts pro bono in deserving matters, and mentors junior members of the profession and James Cook University law students. He also proudly sponsors the South Townsville Rugby League Club, recognising the pivotal role grassroots sport plays in building confidence, resilience, and opportunity for the next generation.
Rowan is a member of the Queensland Bar Association, North Queensland Bar Association (Treasurer), North Queensland Law Association, Townsville District Law Association, Family Law Practitioners Association, Family Law Pathways Network (NQ) and the Rotary Club of Townsville.
He practises from chambers in Townsville and appears in courts across Australia.
